ESSAY and PHOTO by DARK VENUS
I have always known myself to be pure, even amidst my perceived unholiness. I do not have to acknowledge the obvious fact that my light is shrouded by the darkness that births itself from the shadows of the Goddess, raging against those who absolve only in the regimented idea of conformity to a Divinity I have never believed in. I have devoted myself and my flesh to the chaos of the Feminine, to the felt, intuited, carnal, and bleeding. I refuse to pray to an idol who sees pleasure and sex as sin, when I know the truth to be otherwise. I honor the Dark Goddess, the Goddess of Love and Sex, and my prayers are said through orgasm and screams and perversion, an offering of blood and body to She who was there long before the God of the Christians.
