Jacq Francis' Heterosexlandia

WORDS and PHOTOS by LEO BROOKLYN

In Herosexlandia: A Very Queer Tale, Jacq Frances takes her audience on a comedic yet emotional journey through her life, sharing stories of her time as a stripper in New York and her current life as a comedian in Idaho. She reflects on her evolution with confidence and vulnerability, using her comedic genius to connect with her audience.

Frances talks about how, after ten years of being a stripper in New York, she moved to Sun Valley, Idaho, where “everything I do sells out.” She humorously recounts how she transitioned from the day shift at FlashDancers to teaching dance classes, joking about her first client at the YMCA, a 60-year-old man named Burt, whom she taught to "sashay to Mariah Carey." With typical wit, she remarks, “I really like inspiring people to get naked, try things, get weird.”
